Wie de underground volgt langs de kanten van Anderlecht, heeft misschien wel al gehoord van Capsuna, want daar is het hem te doen. Op papier een Belgische band, doch opgericht door de Amerikaan David Enright toen die van Ohio naar Brussel verhuisde. Toen hij in de Belgische hoofdstad aankwam, overviel hem de behoefte om muzikale zielsverwanten te gaan opzoeken die hij vond in Namen, Luik en Suffolk waarmee Capsuna werd geboren.
Op Bandcamp is er al wat materiaal van het vijftal te vinden, maar met de nieuwe single Repeat/Retreat wordt de gooi naar de doorbraak gedaan. Zelf omschrijven ze zich als een slackerband.
Zal wel, maar we hoorden er evengoed de postpunkgeluiden in van Gang Of Four, Talking Heads of zelfs wat Drahla in. Dit maar om te zeggen dat Repeat/Retreat een onweerstaanbare brok adrenaline is. Goede lezers hebben het al lang begrepen: ééntje om te horen en een band om in de gaten te houden.

Those who follow the underground scene in Anderlecht city may have heard of Capsuna. A Belgian band, but founded by American David Enright. When he moved from Ohio to Brussels, he felt the need to look for musical soul mates, which he found in Namur, Liege and Suffolk, with which Capsuna was born.
Some material from the five-piece can already be found on Bandcamp, but the new single Repeat/Retreat can be the breakthrough.
They describe themselves as a slacker band, but we also hear the post-punk sounds of Gang Of Four, Talking Heads or even some Drahla. This is just to say that Repeat/Retreat is an irresistible chunk of adrenaline. A song to hear and a band to keep an eye on.
